These shoes. Oh, how I LOVE THEM! They are obviously not walking shoes. For a heel, however, the cushion is perfect. I like some heel, but I'm not an avid fan of exchanging comfort for appearance. I don't cope well with misery and high arches plus a high instep also make things especially tricky. Some have noted that this shoe runs large. For someone who has a size 11.5 U.S. 2A foot, my heel sat exactly where it needed to be and I had maybe a quarter inch of space at the end if that much. I wore size 11 U.S. 2A in dress shoes for years, not realizing my foot was a little longer than that. I can't stand for my toes to hit the end of the shoe.It is actually a narrow shoe! I've ordered many narrow shoes before and they were anything but narrow. Beautiful shoe for any occasion.
